The Kumaon engineering College Dwarahat, established by the then Govt. of Uttar Pradesh in 1986 for imparting engineering education and promoting technological environment in Kumaon region. The college started functioning in 1991. It is situated 3 km from Dwarahat town on Haldwani-Ranikhet-Karnprayag bus route and about 30 km from Ranikhet. The nearest rail head, Kathgodam, is 110 km from Dwarahat. Kumaon Engineering College is affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University Dehradun. College offers excellent academic environment.
